I just got an email from my dealer with some not so positive news. According to him, Ford will not be building any Raptors in the month of March due to the fact that they ran short on parts. He is also waiting for word regarding remaining allocations for the remainder of the year. He expects to know that the first week in April. I emailed him back, asking if there's a chance that mine might not get built. So far...crickets. So having said that, the future does not look bright if you're waiting for your Raptor to be built (like me), and even dimmer if you haven't placed an order by now. I guess I will just sit and wait to see what happens. But in the meanwhile, it might be a good idea to have a back-up plan. Either way, I'll buy an F-150. The question is, will it be a Raptor or something else.

It does happen that production gets shut down due to part shortage but for a whole month is highly unlikely. When Dodge ran short on transmissions, they were flying them in from Germany to keep the line going.

How in the hell do u run short on parts? Ford knows how many trucks they are going to build in that year, what all of a sudden they look on the rack and they have no fenders or no hoods or what ever sounds like bs to me?

To be honest the specialty parts for the raptor have always been the limiting factor in the number of Raptors built. I know ford has been working with its partners like FOX to up the production numbers. But seeing how the Raptor is built on the normal f150 line and only after its finished with the line does it make a stop that the normal f150's don't to get a couple extra things done I do not see them stopping production for a month.

Rather they will pull the orders as they get the parts they need. So if they have parts for 5 raptors then 5 will get pulled. Unless the entire f150 line goes down then its rather easy for them to build the raptor.
