Wasn't implying anything but had to have a little fun with it. My wife and I have a 16 gt and we have the raptor and to be honest the mustang has maybe accumulated 60 miles on it since December, I'd stay with the raptor if you live in an area that sees snow and is heavily salted like we have here in nj

Snow in NC is hit or miss. We have had some ice/snow but nothing over 3-4 inches. I wouldn't drive an F-150 around regardless of trim and would rather take the F250 or F350 due to weight and 2,000lbs of ice melt and equipment in the bed. My wife could drive the GT500 anytime she wanted, she's use to the dial type transmission and would probably enjoy it. If I buy both then I would be hard pressed to purchase a Raptor R when order banks open up mainly due to the construction to permanent loan on our future house.

I'm more conservative but she has an idea of how she wants the house to be and being a SAHM along with her growing business is still a hard full time job so I want to make sure she has what she wants as long as I have my 3 car garage and then my workshop/office below in the walkout basement. We have been trying for 4 months to find 50-150 acres but finally gave up.

It's technically legal to a certain amount but I don't "cheat" on taxes, it would be hard to justify a GT500 as a necessary business expense related to what I do.
You don’t cheat. That’s what accountants are for. If the expert says it’s legit, who are you to question it? The rules are written to favor the rich. If you’re rich, you should take advantage. And yes, that’s fair because you’re paying for everything anyway.

I was in a similar situation recently, but was looking at something that would be more practical than the GT500 (F90 M5). I have a 2.5 year old and an 8 month old and even with the sedan, with 2 seats in the back, it would be tight. Ultimately went with the Raptor with the plans of picking up a more fun car on the side at some point.

If you can use the work truck more in terms of having to transport the kids when need be, then I'd say go GT500. If that's not possible and the expedition won't be available often for your use, then the Raptor is the better decision if for a daily.

This is more of a "me" issue as I try to be reasonably practical. I just don't want to pay for a vehicle that only sits and is driven maybe 1-2 times a month
I'm more than willing to drive your vehicle for you so it gets driven more than 1-2 times a month...oh wait...I may not be the best person since I probably only drive my mustang 1-2 times a month averaged out over a year since its my garage queen.

I’m in a similar situation. I desperately want a 911 Turbo/GT3, but with one kid, and another one coming in the next year or two, I’m not sure I want to a) stuff my wife and kid(s) in the back of a 911 for trips or b) take my older rav4 on long road trips.
I would buy both right now but my wife wants a cabin on a lake up north, so it’s Raptor first and 911 after she gets her cabin.

Plus a Baja truck that provides some utility is awesome lol

I don't like the 992's interior at all. Ive tried really hard to let it grow on me but the 991.2 had it perfect. Please go for the GT3 so you don't buy one of the historically highest depreciating trims ever made. I do like them big ole fat booty meats on the Turbo and GT3 though

Wont hurt to get a Mustang. Here's a pic of my oldest boy back in 1998, I put both my kids in the back seat in car seats, trips to Cali 3 times a year, changed diapers at rest stops, they both kept busy with Game Boys too.View attachment 341674
That little kid looks like he is a firecracker and up for anything anytime. I have a feeling he is going to lay some rubber with that mustang when he gets his license. That's an awesome picture.
