I'm thinking everyone will want to travel at their own leisure, so if you want to convoy, you could pick points where routes will intersect and try to connect that way. However, I'd be one to try and get up to AK as quick as possible and same thing on the way back. So it might be tough to meet up with others while trying to run it that way, unless they want to do the same.

That's what I assumed but thought it would be cool to all converge in Fairbanks and run the Dalton Hwy together since there is nothing there to stop for anyway, right?

I think that'd be a good idea.

Guess I need to tell my wife to start traveling more for work to build up our Hilton rewards points... free hotels on the way there and back sure would be nice!

Something tells me @Dan06 would run this hot route with me... 12ish hours/day of driving, should take about 6ish days to get there, do the run, and burn it back.

Yeah I'd be down, as long as it was between Oct and April. I'm rather gypsy'ish between those months; if I didn't go back to work early, which I do occasionly. The other months I'm already in AK floating around on a boat.

Ah, gotcha. Well... I'm sure someone would be willing to test out your truck up there for you :specialed:

Wow, awesome! Glad to see there is some interest. I'm well aware its a big trip and big commitment. I am happy to take the lead and do some research, answer any questions I can, pre-run, and help plan the trip as well as open my garage in Anchorage to those who may need anything. Of course, I'll go too and we can all get together and have a BBQ...or two at my place. Please be aware I'm not in the expedition business nor do I have any aspirations to be. There will be no entry fee, no chase trucks, no catered trail meals, and I'm not going to make everyone's reservations and plans for them. All big boy rules will apply.:baby: As far as family goes, I imagine my wife and 8yo kiddo will most likely be with me unless they get a better offer elsewhere. My family road trips pretty well but that is up to you all what you would like to do. I'm not the guy who is going to read scripture at camp in the evenings but I also wasn't planning on a party with hookers and blow either. I'm also very open to suggestions as to where we go and how long we take to get there. There are some opportunities to put the trucks on the fairy and use the Alaska Marine Highway system to get to some places that can't be driven to. The issues with this is that the schedule is a bit sparse so we would have to plan the trip around that and it is also fairly expensive. Keep the ideas coming! Thanks,
JAY

All @Jimbo needs to be committed is that there's a good source of bacon in Alaska. Anybody got a pet pig they want to donate to the barbecue?
