I get a shit load of swoosh from my stock turbo setup.
I have a video posted driving and you can hear it very clearly.
I get no swoosh from my stock turbos, is this normal? Also there is very little spool up the sound and def no BOV sound.
This modification does not make the turbos more audible. All it does is create a swoosh under deceleration, relieving boost pressure. It is purely for sound, and has no other benefit.
You won't get much turbo sound out of these engines. The best thing you can do if you want to hear turbos is go with an expensive CAI (will require a tune then), and removing the air intake silencer rings in the tubing. If you quiet the exhaust, you will hear more turbo sound as well.
Why would you want the blow off sound (deceleration) rather than work on making the turbo whistle louder (acceleration)?
