Hyper flash can be removed on 2011 and later models.
I had a few customers do this already.

Q-158R3

https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/Q-158R3.pdf

Take this into your Ford dealer and have them perform it to remove fast flash.
It does cost money to have this done, around roughly $100.
Now the vehicles that have had this done have had it done successfully but there still could be the vehicle that it may not work on.
Mine is a 2010 and they could not perform this on it.

Just an option thrown out there to solve hyper flash issues.
Do it at your own risk.

awesome. thanks for posting that.

No lie, thanks for the info! Totally worth it to not have to use resistors. I'm put with a 2010, plus I just sold my Spyder tail lights and would have been mean reason to do it anyways.

If anyone does this, please report back

I just ordered most of these from the first page of this thread. Pretty easy to find them on eBay thanks to the pics he posted.

Got the 1200 lumen front signals in. After looking at them, I doubted they'd be any better the LED signals I'm already running that have Samsung brand LEDs. Once installed, WOW so much brighter!! It's hard to tell from pictures, but they're easily 2x brighter and likely even more than that.

No the down side, upon installing one side I get hyper flash.......damn it. These have few LEDs on them and a different type, but with hyper flash I can't use them. :( Waste of money, but did it for the forum! haha! :)

I got the suggested 194/T10 map light LED bulbs and they still have a slight glow even when off. My understanding is the this is due to a slight remaining current flow even when switched off which probably means the bulbs do not have adequate resistors. I don't want to have to splice anything into my interior wiring to fix this. Should I try more expensive and/or can-bus bulbs? Thoughts or suggestions on how to resolve this would be appreciated. Granted, worst case the glow draws so little power that it's probably a non-issue. You can only see it in total darkness like in a dark garage.

I don't believe the bulb is at fault. Not have adequate resistors (or resistance) wouldn't be the cause. The resistors job for the LED bulbs is to drop the voltage down from 13.7v (voltage when car is running) to whatever the LED specs for voltage and current are for the LEDs. Also depending on how they're wired, parallel or series, will be determining factor in resistor size.

I think the culprit is the switch is leaking a tiny amount and causing the LED to glow, it doesn't take much for a LED to barely come on.

The weird thing is I didn't notice the issue with my last set of LED bulbs. Although one of them did flicker horribly when lit. The current set doesn't flicker at all, but has the faint glow when off. I guess I'll take that over annoying flickering anytime.

Yeah flickering can be that it's fixing to die or something came unsoldered inside of it. I don't think you have to worry about battery draw on it.

As far as why one glowed and other one didn't could be just a variation in specs of the LED, just enough that this one is slightly lower to make it barely come on.

dropped my truck off at the dealership today for them to check a couple of things, I also gave them a print out of the .pdf IRONMAN gave us. Hopefully they actually give it a try.
