Just picked up my black 35” 801A with beadlocks. Had to take a 3 hour Uber ride there ( long story) but got the chance to drive it 200 mi back hone. It’s my first raptor ever and I’m coming from a 2019 Yukon Denali. Here are my impressions for what they’re worth:
- the ride is smooth. Not quite as good as the Denali but I wasn’t expecting it to be. It definitely exceeds expectations.
- acceleration is adequate and perfectly fine for me at this point in my life. I’d like a little more pep but am also the first to admit that I don’t need it.
- I was shocked at how well it handles, how tight the turning radius is, and how easy it is to park (for its size). Especially with the 360 cam, it’s easy.
- seats are comfortable.
- AC is powerful which is weird to point out but it’s something that we in the south appreciate.
- big screen is awesome and very responsive. Basically no delay.
- exhaust modes are awesome.
- I’m pretty sure they gave me carbon fiber package by accident. Definitely didn’t order it or pay for it. But it’s nice, ha.
- I do agree with some others that the plastic shifter feels cheap. That’s really my only complaint thus far…
