Once they start building out the 12s more routinely, do you think its realistic to get a VIN - build date and delivery within 30 days? I am hoping SOMETIME in January???

January is a good estimate....if you mean 2013 I placed my order Sep 2nd, nothing.

Ordered August 26th - basically the FIRST DAY the order banks opened - Randy got in some orders. TO DATE - the only thing I am is TRUCKLESS since I sold my previous truck getting ready for my RAPTOR! No VIN - NO BUILD DATE - NADA! I am only living vicariously thru folks that show pictures of their new Raptors on this FORUM! Thats the only thing that keeps me going. Frustrating cause its the ONLY truck I want - 2012 Silver - SCREW - loaded with everything but graphics, blue interior and step.

Just like stutide, I ordered August 26th as well, the FIRST day the order banks opened. Randy has only had several of his OT2's pulled, none of his presold OT1's yet

And similar to stutide, I also sold my daily driver truck (2000 HD F-150) so I'm driving my tired ol' '85 F-150 that is on borrowed time under the abuse of every day flogging. It's 27 years old, it's in retirement and I've dragged it back out lol. It only wants to be driven to home depot on the weekends, not commuted every day. So I'm anxiously awaiting to get that phone call from Randy that starts off "GOOD NEWS!".

The only good part to all this, is I now have mods piling up in my garage as every month I don't get my truck, is a month I budgeted a payment for and don't have the truck yet, so I bought mods instead

Now if only I can get a VIN# before friggin CHRISTMAS, for an early january build, because if I don't get a truck delivered by February, I'll be starting to quickly get upset as it'll be nearly 6 months from my order! Fords order bank system and how they decide which dealers orders to pull is absolutely retarded!

I think when things are under full swing, guys roughly get a VIN# two weeks before their truck is built, and it's roughly 2 weeks after it's built for delivery, so I'd say that is a pretty decent estimate. I heard though that Ford ramped down to single shift till after the holidays? I'm not sure how true that is though, but I hope it is, because that would mean once 2012 hits we'll see a lot more VIN#'s getting distributed.

I ordered my 2011 April 18th didn't get it til August 11th. It was a long wait but well worth it.

Just hang in there. The wait sucks, but once you get your VIN and Window Sticker things seem to move faster. You can occupy your time with pestering Ford SVT and Ford Customer Care in the meantime and ordering mods. My order timeline is in my sig if that helps. Order allocation is a complicated process though and nothing is ever guaranteed until your build is scheduled. I figure usually an 8 week minimum from order to delivery with no complications.

Crapola....if they're already out to the week if 9-Jan for builds, if I don't get a VIN# this week, that'd push mine out to the week of 16-Jan and I wouldn't get the truck till Feb
