Great tips/information. Waterless should be perfect for me 85% of the time. Seems like it will be quicker as well. No dealing with wet jambs, seals, etc...
Thank you again for taking the time to do this!!

Trimmell:

First thanks for all the info and for all your time in responding to this forum. If you are planning to come to the Houston area anytime in the neXt few months, let me know and maybe I'll have you do my coating!

If not, I spoke to a guy today about doing a full Ceramic Coating on my Raptor. His "Silver" package is good for 5-Years, and includes the following for $1800:

Day 1: Wash, Clay Bar, Prep and Ceramic Pro Nano-Polish
Day 2: Application of one layer of Ceramic Pro 9H, and one layer of Ceramic Pro Light
Day 3: Full day of Drying, "gas-out" and any final touch-up detailing

This will be done for the entire truck, all glass, wheels, tires and tonneau, as well as OEM paint touch-up on a few minor chips I've already got. All of this is done in their climate controlled shop, and they only do one car at a time to provide full attention to detail.

I liked what the guy had to say, and he mentioned all of the same CarPro products (Reset, Reload, Eraser) for how I would hand wash and maintain the coating once applied.

Thoughts? Red flags? Sound good? Other questions I should ask him before committing, or should I look elsewhere?

Sorry, I was in the middle of getting moved so I'm just now getting back to people. Houston is actually 20% or so higher on coatings than Orange County and SoCal in general surprisingly enough so that's about what I would expect it to cost. The process sounds similar to what I do. I don't see any issues with it. Cool he mentioned CarPro's products! I am definitely a fan. Everything looks good. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

Also considering doing Xpel stealth under the coating, I know it's quite a bit more expensive but after seeing some pics on here it's really tempting. Any recommendations for that as well? Thanks!

It's been my pleasure. I love to help! Give my buddy Wes a call at Elite Finish Detailing. His shop is in San Diego and they also install XPEL. They can take care of you! (858) 876-8794

@TRIMMELL have you heard of finishing touch auto spa in Sylvan Lake Michigan? They are a ceramic pro and Xpel dealer.

I haven't heard of them but I did look them up on social media and they have a lot of experience with high end cars and coatings. They should be able to take care of You!
