The confusion is real when they hang off of the transmission or off of the exhaust system or transfer case. It seems like every manufacture has had some type of issue one time or another, it must be interesting how they go about solving these issues without breaking the bank especially when it comes to the motor

If it’s moving freely then it isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do. Taking it off wouldn’t change anything and you’d be eliminated the risk of it breaking off while driving and ending up in someone else’s radiator. Mine wobbles around as well and I’m planning to remove it.

Question to those who have removed it. Can you get it out without raising the bed? Can you get a sazall up there and cut the bolts? I’m debating cutting it out or using my extended warranty to get it replaced

Quite a few owners removed it only to find out that,
there is vibration that you can feel and your side mirrors will become obsolete because they will shake.

The bolts are in the rubber grommet imbedded in the weight thus making them isolators.
