There's 1 awesome guy allowed to run around on a UTV, other than that, they are pit only.

Ah ok.

Was gonna say, if I end up going next year I'd have to keep the ranger for that run rather than with the raptors lol.

UTVs are only allowed to be used by staff and volunteers. If you want to bring one out, I'll put you to work!

OK, I have never owned a helmet, but I think it would be a good idea for the TRR to have one. There are just so many to chose from. For the sake of this event, does it matter if it is a motorcycle helmet, ATV helmet, vs a auto racing helmet? I need to buy 2 so budget is important.

Any suggestions?

A helmet is required on track. So if you're going to come, you will need one.

Anything with DOT approval will work. HJC makes a reasonably priced half face helmet.

They are basically all the same, you should look for a DoD approved helment. I would suggest visiting a motorcycle dealer, and most people will most likely recommend a full-face motorcross type helment. Good Luck

Windows up, open face.

Windows down, full face

Aside from that, you'll have to try helmets on to see what fits your head. What works for one person, may not work for another.

This is 100% true.

My MX helmets are Large. My racing helmets are M. And both are the same brand but different models, and they each fit differently.
