Anybody have helmet suggestions? I know DOT approved, but I'm not a helmet guy. Never had a reason to own one.

What will be comfortable and not cost me my early retirement?

PS: Legal liabilities aside, no DOT helmet ****'s gonna check your bike helmet. Or your gear. YOYO. Just the way it should be of course. Darwin awards after the show if applicable.

For trucks or cars open face is great if you have passengers. I got a cycle helmet that's full faced but the visor is a quick snap on and off which is great for vehicles not so much for bikes. Really something that fits well and you'll be good to go. less than 200 bucks should get you about anything you really want.

Last year we had a guy throw up out of his quad helmet... while it was still on! Didn't even make the first lap.

I was going to say you could buy a 4 wheeler they usually throw in a helmet hear or ramps. I had ramps so figured mite as well have a helmet collecting dust. for times such as these.
