McWhorters lodge is about 5 miles away on the lake. Its a place to lay your head... Country Inn in Bronte. I have info for both in the first post of this thread. There are quite a few options in Sweetwater too.

I've stayed at nicer places in Mexico.

It's pretty rough. Fishing cabins. Cinder block. Have AC and running water though.

That was a scary night!

Footprint under the tent, rain canopy on tent and I moved my 10x10 ez up over the tent too.

The storm woke me up, but once i realized I was dry I went back to sleep an slept like a baby.

Or maybe it was just the patron silver.

Foot print or even a cheap tarp is the best thing! We were completely dry, and even with our large profile (8 person) tent tied off to the truck, no flooding..

Yea a large tarp is a MUST! I had one under my tent like Greg and stayed perfectly dry! Haha

I'm not bringing a tent!
Bringing a bed roll and a horse with no name.
I'll have a little fire and listen to Marshall Tucker Band.
If things get bad, I can eat the horse.
