not complaining about breaking it at all. i was putting the truck through its paces pretty well. im just trying to find that solution, and build it better than it was.

Let's just say there isn't any margin left in the design. Lol...Funny how people think that the stock rear shock mount is a poor design. I have never seen a stock shock tear off. Now if you want to say that the stock system is a weak design when running aftermarket shocks ok I can agree with that.

Look up the thread. I did an fea analysis a while back on them showing the stress

The problem with that analyses is that it assumes that the mount fails under compression.Took a little while to find, but here it is for reference in case anyone reads this later.

i did search for a while before i made this post, and never found that thread. if i had, i would have never made this thread! there is some great info in there.
