What would the range be for each under most conditions?

I would assume I could request Canadian Lad1,2,3 channels be added as well? I see the frequency ranges are identical for US and Canadian models. Haven't found a need for a radio in the past but now with the odd trip up seasonal winter roads it would be extremely handy.

Based on what I see online, I don't see a problem with that.


Also, I will add the weather channels.

I think Dubbs did something like this. Dont know how its wired, or how it works.

I wired it to the center dash speaker with the plug run from the external output jack on the bottom of the ICOM through a small amp, spliced into the center speaker. My amp died a couple months ago, and my next thought is to bypass the center speaker and amp setup and run it direct into the line in on the center console. Then I can blare it through the whole radio, and reroute the original wire output into the Whelen Siren/PA system for monitoring outside the truck and I can run it either way.

I plan on having a local radio shop install it and see if they can tie it in to the factory speakers.

Would running a wire to the aux audio input on the dash work? What kind of external speaker output does the unit have? I tried to search online but couldn't find a definitive answer.

Thats what I do. External speaker out of the radio into the sync line in.
