Twilhunter, did you use the original hardware? I have the same haven't put them on yet and was wondering if I need stainless?

I used 1/4" self taping stainless screws.I thought the ones that came with them were to small.

Does anyone with after market (method) rims have issues with the stock tires grabbing the screws in the flaps under full lock??? I put some cheapy ones to try and my tires would grab and rip the screws out in some spots. The tires run very close to the fenders

I've also got the PDP (Proven Design Products) mudflaps. The vortex ones are too busy for my tastes with all the ridges. It does match the hood vent, but what the heck does a mudflap vent? lol. I got the blue fox racing logo on my PDP's. Still need to install them, but I have noticed that with the width of the truck, with the tires sitting out further than a normal truck, that the cab sides and side windows get really dirty really fast.

I have ATX rims and I have the same problem with the tires rubbing the flap screws when wheels are turned hard like when backing out of my driveway etc. It sucks.. lol

If that is happening with 35" tires I know I could not run 37's.

I just installed the $11 (for two) set that vAutoZone sells (the wider of the two plain black ones) They seem to work fine, and I dont think they look out of place on my Raptor. I will post some pics later.

A good looking, good fitting set of mud flaps would be great...Even our stock tires with stock rims get very close to the fenders at full lock however. I was thinking of trying some PDP "Raptor" flaps (these are made of fairly hard plastic) and carefully countersink stainless tapered head screws for a flush fit. What is needed is for factory designed flaps moulded into the wheel well flares...
