I like the look of 37" tires.

I'd like to hear about how aggressive your driving is offroad and what kind of terrain you're driving on with 37" tires.

The size of those tires will certainly cause them to contact the front fender liners and tear them out if the Raptor is driven in rough terrain especially as the speeds go up. I've seen the stock tires contact fender liners in certain situations (not on my Raptor).

The weight of the tires is another issue and we've talked about it in other threads.

My tire weight is only 4 lbs per tire more on the 37's over the 35's. I haven't driven my truck real aggressive yet but this past weekend I was down in the sand hills of Oklahoma running the truck hard enough to get a little air under the tires. Came down without any incident or contact. I only caught about 6 to 8 inches of air according to the guys that were with me. I did install the TRUXXX kit on the truck so may have saved my liners for the time being. I fully look at losing them at some point and will more than likely modify them like I do for the ones on my road race mustang. Basically we take the attaching points and turn them into tear points so that they will slip out without doing damage to the mustang and/or affecting driving direction.

Thanks for responding oh GR8PMKN

I do question the 4 pounds difference. Care to provide links to both numbers from BFG?

I like your idea about the liners and look forward to seeing more about what you end up doing in that regard.

Thanks Pumpkin!

Note that the stock BFGs are not 12.5" wide

Per the link you provided, the stock tire:
Section width: 11.8"
Tread width: 10.4"
OA diameter: 34.5"
Weight: 66#

Per the link you provided, the 37" KM2 tire:
Section width: 12.5"
Tread width: 9.7"
OA diameter: 36.8"
Weight: 70#

Saw that. Like I said IMHO Mark answered the question of which is 'better for me' thoroughly. No doubt the perch adjustment has its advantages, and disadvantages, as well

I didn't want to ask this question on the thread about the perch adjustment... Why is the Truxx kit "better" than the perch adjustment and what are the advantages of the perch? (How do these two suspension lift options compare?)

Bonus question: Did you ask your insurance guy if he's covering your Raptor with the suspension lift?
