You highly recommend Whipple, and in the same breath, you bad mouth them!
Isn't that talking out of both sides of your mouth?!!!

just to clarify the product is great the customer service and support not good and sometimes you cant reach them for days over the phone.

I’ve always had good luck with Magnuson or roots type also. I just bought a built LS3 with a Magnuson Heart Beat on it over the bigger more HP whipple. It was 50hp less and more money to run the Heart Beat but what I wanted for that build.
This truck I want as much as I can get. but I don’t want to do anything other than bolt on the kit and not worrie. So the sissy side of me says go Roush then the HP junkie says get the gen 3 whipple stage 2. I’ll end up with Roush I’m sure I’ve had good luck in my days of modding I don’t want that to change now lol.
Thanks for replies.

SO! You are saying " Buy their product " then after you will be ******!
Sound like one hell of a recommendation.

He was an early adopter and had to make several changes to his set up, which was frustrating. Kits/tunes are all fully vetted and much easier now. He obviously wouldn't be recommending the product despite the early frustrations if he wasn't happy with it.

Got any other snarky comments?

:specialed:

well F me I am back to Whipple again and ready to buy right now but guess what BACK ORDERED. now lets see if I can hold out or if I end up with the Roush after all lol. I am such a scatter brain when it comes to this trucks supercharger.
I do see the whipple is hitting 560 RWHP anyone know what the RWHP is on Roush phase 2 set up? actual real dyno?
thank you all for replying and helping me with this. I know it should be easy for me but it isn't for some reason.

IMO, may be late to the party but either blower will be a great upgrade.

Personally, I will be going with a roush simply because there is a place 2 hours north of me that has installed & tuned quite a few of those blowers on these trucks and with some good reviews. They seem to know those blowers very well from Mustangs to trucks.

Have you found who will install it and you will tune it? Or will you do it yourself and get an email tune from a vendor?

LMAO yes I have changed my mind again for the 17th time I am back to Whipple as of right now at least. am trying to pay for it as of yesterday but I think Whipple is just that slow.
I am going stage 2 Gen 3 and I will run whipples tune. I was very shy from a factory tune like this but rumor has it they have updated it since the first release and its good to go now. I should be close to 600 RWHP if not I will try 5 star tune.

I have an installer who has installed one before but he builds mostly race cars (mustangs) so no problem for him.

if for some reason no one wants to take my money by Tuesday next week. I will just order Roush from summit and be done with it less hp but a lot cheaper also. I am inpatient and a week is a long time trying to pay for product lol. I know summit will take my money in a second and ship the next day.

If I don't do this now I will spend the money on one of my cars and put this off again I am trying my hardest to not do that right now so you don't see me post this up again in 6 months lol.

where are you located anyways ? if money is no issue the whipple "seems" to be way better specially with the gen 3

Hope you plan on doing the billet oil pump gear upgrade!! Seems like a smart mod for running a supercharger.

South Florida. Money isn't an issue per say, but I'll check with my future tuner on how many he has done with a Whipple. To be honest I'm not going for max HP on this 3 ton brick. Just want some more DD power. Especially when on I-95. Rather not try to go for every ounce of HP and then do another window mod on the block(destroyed 7 rods/pistons on my old Lightning).

http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f24/roush-raptor-oil-pump-failure-resurrection-50290/

I do know a couple of Florida guys pushing a whipple and a roush(700+hp) that don't have that oil pump upgrade who have had no issues yet. And from our offroading, they push their trucks hard.
Think it's a good insurance mod as a just in case.
