Can I buy a half set of lights from you or will I need to purchase the entire set again? I still have the receipt from when I purchased them from you.

Your bumper is toast. Get a aftermarket one and deduct that cost from the OEM bumper you would have got.

I checked last year and in PA I was told by my company, Erie Insurance, that they cover up to $10,000 of aftermarket with receipts. To go over that they will list them out and you will pay a small amount extra for the extra coverage.

You had to submit them to your insurance when you had them installed right?

Glad you’re ok. Others have said, you provide the receipts to the at fault driver’s insurance company and tell them to pay up, sucker.

My sincerest wishes for a speedy and correct repair.

Receipts are nice, but since you have matching units on the other side, and it looks like there is enough debris to justify they were there, you are fine. Insurance is required to return the vehicle back to pre-collision condition, even with aftermarket goodies on it...if you had a crazy modded truck, you would have to get it appraised by a shop qualified in the modifications to get a quote, and the insurance would still have to cover it.
Good luck dealing with insurance companies, they never make it easy, that's for sure.

Jimmyjamm is correct.
Even if the other person is not insured, your company needs to make you whole. But it will take some effort on your part, which is sad, since all you did was get hit.
Wish you all the best.

Insert my nerd glasses :deal:

I am an insurance agent and read contract language all day so I will chime in. Giving you advice per Arizona insurance law and wording so your state may be a little different but unless you are a "no fault" state it should be the same.

The other party was at fault so it will fall under their liability side of their insurance. Liability insurance will pay to repair the damage they caused up to their property damage limit. There is no wording on "we will only pay $X amount for aftermarket parts" etc. Liability insurance does not work that way. So yes they should replace your aftermarket lights. You may have to prove how much they cost but should be no issues otherwise.

Now if you were at fault in another situation for example or if the other party was at fault but uninsured or underinsured there could be wording in your policy about the amount of aftermarket parts they cover if anything so I would read your policy language if its a concern of yours. If there is a sublimit sometimes it can be increased for a small charge. If there is no mention of a limit then often times they will just pay for the replacement part cost which does become an issue with us because the Raptor has no OEM fog lights so in that case it could pay nothing. That's why I would just check with your agent for future issues so you are aware how much the policy covers if any and if you can purchase more if needed.

Any issues during the claim don't hesitate to drop me a line.

Almost $11K of damage from my adjuster. I still haven't heard from the other guy's insurance. I appreciate all the input. I am going to look hard at an aftermarket front bumper. Seems like the opportune time.
