I find this excessive(dealer related)

Thats a long as travel to wyoming. I was gonna drive 4.5 hrs to this dealer. I also have a trade in

first dealer I talked to wanted $10K down to order, with no guarantee on my trade in! needless to say I ran out of that place! Ended up getting my 2010 off the lot of another dealer. Ordered my 2012, expecting some sort of deposit, they never ask for one! I could refer you to a great dealer if you were in TX

I'm confused... the only way you lose the deposit is if you cancel your order? Do you plan on cancelling your order? You said you didn't want to even want to wait till a November build date because you want the truck now... Why on earth would you even order the truck if you feel that cancelling the order is a very real possibility in the immediate future.

Now if you aren't planning on cancelling the order, why don't you just accept their deal since it's apparently the best around.

If the possibility of cancelling is based on trying to sell your vehicle private-party then you probably either need to work out trade, or get it sold before you even start the process.

I do agree that the salesman shutting things down like that was rude, and you should talk to the owner.
