I was able to connect to my phone's portable hotspot using the WPA2 PSK security protocol and also using a numeric password. This was kind of a pointless test, but at least it worked as designed. While connected, I believe that the sync functions(weather, movie, gas, and sports) all downloaded faster. I was also able to connect to my home wifi on the same protocol, then I used the truck as a access point and my ipad connected through the truck's access. All of the wireless GUI screens are kinda clugy but it works.
