One of my gripes about this truck was I didn't have enough light while backing up at night; now I do!

Special thanks to 4x4TrukLEDs for helping me through the purchase. Shipping was quick and install was too. I went w/ the S2 sports and they give me all the light I need for driving, work & play; I honestly can't imagine going S1 or S2 pro lol.

They are a nice setup. I ended up putting the amber covers on mine, the light just seems to work better with the backup camera. The yellow isn’t quite as washed out as the white and I can see more details.

I use more mirrors and visual to back up, so I prefer the white light, but I am interested in the amber covers. Also is there a way to make them strobe?

Any issues w/ heat from
The exhaust w/ them being so close? I am looking for some reverse lights

Can you use up fitter #5 and/or #6 for these?

No issues from heat at all. I questioned that before my install too, as they look pretty close. The pipe tips really don't radiate heat much. The one corner is pretty close, but you still have about 1/4" of clearance, and the rest of the light has significantly more than that.

You can put them on any switch, I have mine on #5.

Yeah, I am considering mocking up some brackets to move the lights slightly away from the exhaust tips. My right side is about 1/16” from the exhaust tip. Left is maybe a 1/4”. Tried adjusting the tailpipe but wasn’t able to get any more clearance.
If the BD bracket had an oval shape slot it at least would be somewhat adjustable.

Even though clearance is tight, I haven’t had any issues at all. I don’t think there is any contact between the lights and the exhaust tips.

I forgot that I ground an oval in the mounting hole to make them a little better. There really isn't that much heat left at the tips.

I've had mine on for about 2 years now and I've not had any issues at all. They look great.

We offer an optional harness that let's you control the lights from an upfitter (they'll also come on automatically when in reverse). It's a popular harness for folks who also use the S2 reverse kit as chase lights, and throw amber covers on them at events. We have diodes built in that prevent the upfitter from back-feeding your factory reverse lights, so if you use them as chase lights you're factory reverse lights are not on.
