JMO, but I'd rather not have that stuff going back into the intake/combustion chamber...

Yep. Or reducing the effective octane of your fuel.

This is especially important if you're one of those guys who likes to run cheap gas.

I have this tan color in my can, about 3,000 miles and just under half full. I see most guys have a black or dark brown? Does this mean anything ?

Link, please. Otherwise, to me, it's just the Raptor Tax, or simply being overpriced. No way can they cost enough to produce to where a 'reasonable' profit requires a $400 price point.

Yeah, there was some difference but you make a great point.

I installed JLT oil catch can today but noticed longer hoses, which required to be hanging down from the can, which is mounted near the battery. Based on how it clips into the two places, I don't think these are under high pressure. I wonder if it will be enough pressure to get oil into the can??? OEM connection was short and firm hose so I can how easily will flow. Any long term user input, please.

Thats from the moisture in the winter mixed with the oil. I get the same thing here in Pa during the winter.

I just drained mine after a few thousand miles and it was about half full of oil.

Drained mine today, forgot to write mileage last time but imagine it's around 5K or so. Last 800 miles included ~400 towing a ~2800 lb R-pod single axle trailer followed by about 400 miles with a twin-axle 5K TT which included going over Stevens, Blewett and Snoqualmie passes.IMG_2336.JPG Not more than 3 tablespoonsful I'd guesstimate, but still glad that it's gunk that's NOT going thru the intake. Was surprised the amount was so low. Running full boost going over the passes I expected more blow-by getting into the crankcase so more vapors coming thru the PCV system. The highest was Blewett, at only 4100 feet, followed by Snoqualmie at just over 4000, so they're no Ike by any stretch, but for my first experience towing over a pass it wasn't too bad. Kept in the right lane, mostly 50-60 or so. OAT in the 70's with coolant maybe touching 220 and tranny touching 205 but quickly cooling into 210's/190's once I could get my foot back out of it.

Are any of you guys double checking your hoses too when dumping out the catch can to see if you're getting any build up in the lines?
