Hvac issue

Quick question. Every time I start the truck the AC is on and sometimes cooled seats. My tremor it would just go to whatever setting I had when I shut the truck off. Can't find any settings for this (not the remote start function) I usually have the temp set to 70 with fan on low. Is this just the way it is or am I missing something?

I’ve noticed the truck tries to keep last settings or settings based on the outside temps when you do the remote start I think. I’d love to know the answer to your question also. Something is bizarre with the HVAC in general at least I can’t figure it out still after 2 years.

Yeah, the remote start settings seem to work as they're supposed to. Yesterday it was 64 outside, had the truck set to 75 and the AC and cooled seats still came on when I started the truck.

There’s absolutely some logic being used in the HVAC system. Depending on the exterior temp, the heated or cooled seats will come on as appropriate. Heated steering wheel too.

I have not noticed the temperature change based on exterior temp though.
