Damn. Thought I was brilliant to come up with the rubber blocker under the front holes of the running board. Always someone smarter and faster.
At full articulation, the back husky mudflap touches. I'm not overly keen on the look, but they look fairly stock and not too lame.
I think covering the first sets of running board holes will make a huge difference to how much crap gets flung up on the outside of the door and against the back 'haunch'. Will see.
Am thinking I would undercoat the running boards, the area beside the running boards and rear wheelwells to reduce the rock noise and gravel blasting of the steel parts which will lead to premature rust. Don't want to do a job on it like I did in my teens. Most of those hoe undercoatings were basically to hold the car together with all the holes and rust. But am thinking some tactical, careful application will help.
Will see how long these back flaps will last. They aren't as much for me, as they are for people following. Might help a bit. And help the back fo the truck a little. Will see.
