How well are the seats wearing?

I have all my windows tinted with 20% 99% U.V., and my front windshield tinted 50% with 99% U.V. My leather wont age at all.

Good point on the slide in and out. 100% truth.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Hadn't thought about that before, my previous Gen 1's were gently used when I bought them and the seats in it and my other Lariat had side bolster wear issues (seems there was a spring there that would press up against it from inside). I really liked these much better than previous gen leather (but have seen a few wear marks in back seat already that just looks grey/white as it went past the dyed portion of the leather.

Harder will be to try to keep from sliding out and use running boards with my short @s5 legs to help minimize any wear, but I take care of my stuff, so shouldn't be an issue long-term.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT. I NEVER SLIDE INTO OR OUT OF MY TRUCK. Thats probably why my Gen 1 seats faired so well. Jenny gets the same treatment. Drives me crazy when people ride in my truck and slide out of it when they exit.

i had to tell my buddy that. and also don't put his feet on the dash or my wife may or may not "put a hurt" on him.

Here's what my front seat looks like after 2k miles. I thought I read about this issue on this forums. I searched and wasn't able to find anything. Is this normal? I don't have a big ass and I'm not a really big guy at 6 foot 195lb.

Im 220, truck has 14K miles and seat still looks new. Take it to a dealer and have them replace that cover. That looks like you kneel on that spot with your knee frequently.

1 year of daily driver use and my seats look like they've never been used.

I definitely don't slide in and out through...I use the lift handle and step sides to position myself appropriately.

Yup I do the say.

The issue I see and feel is not only the leather but maybe the foam underneath my rear end.

I will say that the padding has worn out rather quickly due to my fat ass. Ford should really consider us husky fellows when they design seats. We're not all 120lb horn rimmed glasses wearing, craft beer sipping hipsters...
