Has everyone still been using the stock U bolt retainer from off the top of the stock leafs? I think I've seen some with and some with out it. I would like to use it but if it's not necessary and will save me some time tomorrow I may scimp..

I was in the process of boring out the holes to fit the stock retainer on my deavers, but then I spoke to Jeff @svc, and he said you don't need them. I think that the strike plate used with the bump kit works sufficiently.

I did not remove my shocks for Deaver install... did not see any advantage from removing them other than more work.

I second that. I left the shocks on too. If you have an extra set of hands when you do this, which you will probably want, it really wasn't bad at all to just thread them through from under the truck. Plus it helps keep your axle in place and the leafs seat right down on it
