Do you know for sure that you have some iTunes songs protect?

I don't know if it's protected or not. In iTunes it says "purchased aac audio file" as the type. I did pay for iTunes match for a year just to try and clean up the two iTunes accounts we have. Maybe that unprotected stuff?

Who knows? Anything Apple I stay away, I'm not a fan.

I just couldn't talk my daughter out of getting one. Two years ago iPhone was all a craze with the kids.

Hello! First post but I've had this issue before too. DBpoweramp is a great program and you can export to almost a lossless format if you rip directly from CD. The learning curve can be mildly steep but as mentioned before, it is fast. An easier program that I found and have been using for years is Sound Taxi. It will do batch conversions too. You can buy the individual program or buy a suite with a bunch of other cool tools. Hope this helps.

I know that Sound Taxi does. I have both of the programs but I've never tried to use dBPoweramp for anything other than ripping and remastering.

I still haven't played around with anything yet.

But both of these programs will remove Apples copy right protection?

As far as I know dbPoweramp does as well. I have a handful of iTunes tracks I've downloaded and converted over to mp3 and never had any issue with them playing through sync.
