my 2011 fz8 fits diagonaily in my truck. it deff take 2 people to load it minimum. 3 people is nice so is 3 ramps so you have a place for your feet. or so 2 people can walk it up.
Thanks all for the input! Decided to go with a 12 foot. The 10 sounds like it would work but I might as well make it as easy to possible to load the bike. Now I just need to decide btw. the Black Widow and the Big Boy!
I can't find a good picture of it showing the full item. It's possible to unload flat with it, but it's a heck of a lot easier in a dip. This ramp does have an arc to it. I can see the longer ramp being nice if you're always having to do unload on flat. And the ramp is only in the truck when there's a motorcycle next to it, so it's not as though the gate being down is an issue.
This was from discountramps.com...it's at least five years old (probably older).
When I was about 15 at Glamis, I tried to ride my 1990 KDX 200 dirtbike with a paddle tire up the ramp into my dads Sliverado. Got a patch of traction when I hit the wood ramp, flew forward into the back of the cab and split the welds on the truck bed. My dad had to reinforce them with custom angle brackets.
Not long enough per your decision of going for the 10ft ramp, but I used a Ready Ramp for my dirt bike (even used it to bring my Ducati home). It also doubles as a bed extender...
I have the black widow ramps and love them.. Get the longer version and you'll be fine! I don't have my raptor yet so I can't test them but my current pickup is only a copule inches lower at the box so the difference should be neglidgable...
I don't know what kinda of bikes your loading but I ride motocross and use what ever ramp is around... i think i normally use like a 8' or so I don't like cruising around with 2 bikes in the back with all gear gas and tools with the tailgate down so smaller fits under the bike across so I can still shut it also I use the "old man step" when loading the bikes works amazing instead of struggle mode with front brake and walking up the same ramp as the bike
