All of my lights came with the wire harness. The only brackets I bought that had the wire harness was the 40", but it was just a simple two wire harness. The 40" light itself had the main wire harness (with switch and relay) in the box .

My Rigid Dually fog light's wire harness came with the (lights and brackets) bought as a combo kit.

My Rigid 20" had the wire harness in the light box. The bracket box only had the bracket.

Are you saying you got NO wiring harness with your 4" LEDs?

I moved my license plate so I could use the full 20" LED light bar (see below):

How are you liking the Hood mount lights? I am thinking of doing that using two D2 Duallys for the lights, do you think that would be a good setup?

I love the way they look on the truck. The light output is good, but the spot beams are very narrow. I have them for throwing light way out front and pointing slightly outward to catch the outside edges of the trail.

MyDinosaur has the D2's mounted on the hood. We are planning on getting together to see each others lights. The last time we met, neither of us had them installed. Shoot him a PM and ask what he thinks.

I have heard they sit lower than the round HID lights and might put more glare on the hood, but MyDinosaur says it's not too bad.

A little late to the game...

Overall, I couldn't be happier with the D2s on the Outlaw hood mounts. They throw a ton of light. Overall, I really don't think the reflect too badly off the hood or at least not so much that it's annoying or hard to see. I have an aftermarket stubby billet antenna that reflects a ton of light back, so at night if I'm running the lights, I just remove the antenna. The lights themselves are so compact, they take up very little room and really aren't that noticeable just driving around. However, if you are looking for a spot light effect, the D2s aren't the way to go IMO. They do light up the road quite a ways in front of the vehicle (I went with the driving pattern), but they aren't spot or pencil beams.

The one photo was shot from inside the cab with my D2s and headlights on. The other photo is outside of the truck and just the D2s. Both shot with cell phone so the pic quality is semi lacking.

Guys, is it me or does Rigid have some major issues with quality control...I.e., missing or wrong directions, wrong brackets, bad switches, no harnesses etc. they seem to be quick to correct but that means another 1-2 weeks waiting. I think if somebody is going to drop $800 bucks on lights they could get their act together on the front end. Makes me nervous down the road.

Hey, I think the lights are awesome. It's just if you read here long enough it seems there is more "small" issues that keep creeping up. It seems more than not the end of each post is.......they shipped me a label to send back and they'll correct. That's fine but come on guys, who's in charge of checking things in the first place.

I was a little worried going with Rigid because of past quality control issues but was assured by other members that it was no longer a problem. I am glad I went with Rigid, customer service is great and they will resolve any issues if they arise. I am happy with my Rigids despite a few little hick-ups.

P.S. I spoke with Rigid and anyone with a 40" E Series that is using a 15 Amp fuse as recommended in the instructions should switch to a 20 amp fuse.

One problem that I ran into with my D2s is that they changed the wiring harness plugs not to long ago, So I ended up with one set with new connector plugs and one old style, not a big deal except the Raptor harness has all new style plugs. I am hoping that they will do an exchange.
