All in all, wrapping my Raptor on my own cost me about $800. I got quotes from wrap shops that were upwards of $4500 so I just decided to do it myself and save some money. Decided to wrap the truck because I couldn’t stand how easily the black got dirty and to protect it from bushes when off-roading.

Wrapping the whole car took about 10 days. I took about 1-2 hours each day whenever I had free time (Wrap shop could get it done in about 2 days give or take a few days). Headlight trim and around the antenna on the roof were the hardest parts to wrap.

Materials I used (All bought on Amazon)

Wrap 5ftx75ft roll (Price will vary on color, finish, company, etc): $655

X2 3M Knifeless Finish Line Vinyl Wrap Cutting Tape 50 Meter Roll: $28 ea.

Micro Squeegee Tool Kit: $22.59

Regular Squeegee (4 pack): $7.34

VViViD Vinyl Gloves: $10

Trim Removal Tools: $10

Blades for cutting wrap (35 degree blade):
$2-$4

Heat Gun: $14.99
Total Spent: $779.92

Looks good.

Did you have a second vehicle you could drive while the truck was being wrapped or is this not your DD? How long ago did you do it and have you seen any areas where the wrap is coming up and needs to be redone?

I'd love to do this myself, but my biggest concern is that it will end up looking like it was done by an amateur and have to pulled off 6 months later.

Raptor isn’t my daily so wrapping it over time wasn’t a problem for me. I finished it about a month ago and I haven’t found any spots peeling or coming lose. The key is to not stretch the material as much so when it gets hot it doesn’t fold up. There’s a lot of videos on YouTube that helped me. I plan on removing it in about 6 months and changing the color because I already have a ton of scratches on the wrap.

Do you have any up close pictures of the hood and front light areas? It looks like you did part of the hood in a different color or left it unwrapped.

I've watch the videos and does look like it requires some skill, but not that hard overall. I know what you mean about making sure you reduce tension as much as possible.

Probably the lighting in the picture or the hood stripe. I wrapped the part around the headlight in 4 different pieces just to make it easier on myself and save some time. Doesn’t look the best up close but can barely tell when you’re at a distance.
