We have no idea how many Raptors will be available or allocated. But I can honestly say that while I know I wont be getting an under invoice deal any time soon, I am also not willing to pay a premium on an already premium priced truck. What say you?

I would be willing to pay $500 to $1000 over Invoice. If they try to go anywhere near MSRP or aboveI can wait.

You'll be doing good if you get one for sticker for the first MY.

Agreed. My wife's cousin is a manager at a Ford dealership a couple hours away and he has hooked the family up with some good deals over the years. My local Ford also does a $1000 price match guarantee where if you find a better price they will match the price and go $1000 lower so hopefully I have a couple ways of not paying a premium. I have patience so we will see what it all comes down to when the time comes.

I am expecting the gen2 to be overpriced at first, it will all depend on supply and demand if Ford lowers or increases the price in the months/years afterwards. The Gen1 caught on more than Ford expected and the prices increased constantly.

I live in cali so to get a deal i will fly also.

What about doing the deal over the phone and shipping? Invoice + $1,500 shipping or thereabouts not a bad deal? Save on travel costs and time? My local dealer already offered me MSRP out of the gate so if I can get one and have it shipped under MSRP, wouldn't that be a 'win' ?

You don't even have to pay shipping, Ford has a drop ship option when you order. If you ship to a dealership other then the one your purchased from they charge you an extra $250, you click the box when you put the order in. I am doing this with my RS, ordered in Colorado and having it delivered locally in CA. Ford has to ship to the dealer you ordered from anyway, so its not that hard for them just to deliver to a different one.

Yep, I have already been told by two local CA dealers they expect 5-10k over on the first trucks.
