Love the look of SDHQ's set up but hate the idea of cutting my bed like that

Right there with ya, I saw that truck at the Raptor Roundup last year and even got the OK from my wife to do something like that but the idea of cutting a gigantic hole in my bed for the spares seemed more and more like a terrible idea the more I thought about it.

They told me that they could use what they cut out of the floor to make a removable panel but I still didn't like the idea. I would lose the hitch and have to get a new rear bumper. I have yet to find a rear bumper that I like

For me, I like RPG's new rear bumper and I'm also a fan of the one WSI made for Whtrapta. Other than that, I'm pretty "meh" on all the options out there.

There's some pics of it at the end of BigJ's Baker Dovetail thread.

He is talking about a bedcage you mount suspension too.

Why don't you look at the fire extinguisher quick release I sell? What you have now will break off road

2 cages and 2 TRR with both set ups zero problems and we haven't pulled them off since the day they went on before TRR. I'm not worried about them breaking. I placed them so the bottom of the bed would help support them so its not like they are just hanging off the bracket in mid air. There is about 1/8" of room before the bottom of the fire extinguisher hits the bed so in a big hit they are good to go. I even had some extra tires in the bed and the top handle is bent on my fire extinguisher still no problems. Thanks for the concern though.

The suspension bed cage has looks and is funtional but the tires seems to be too much. You have to be in a bad luck to get 2 flats same day.

Imagine the bad luck you'll be in if you get 2 flats and only have 1 spare. That's a long walk home!!
