I may be the only one around here who actually plans on using the Raptor for what is was designed for. I see a red screw everyday in one of two spots in town. I picture him driving it to work every day and home. Same thing every day nothing more. Just a DD. About once every 3 months he washes it. I'm trying to catch him leaving work sometime and see what he does. I talked to another guy with a red screw and he uses it to go to work but at least he has dirt roads to travel to the oil/gas fields every day, so it get some use. Does anybody around here really USE their Raptor? I'll be tracking all these guys down soon enough to see if they want to hit the dusty trail this summer

Yeah, I dont understand why one would buy a Raptor and never take it off road-esp here in NV, we have more places to go than you can think of. I met one owner and he looked at me like I was nuts when I asked him what trails he had been out on & if he wanted to do a run sometime.
I will never understand people......But the Jeep crowd seems to have just as many mall crawler types.

I expect I'll have it a couple years before I go driving through mesquite and sand plum pastures at high speeds (desert pinstriping type stuff), but I plan to go to Little Sahara a couple times this year and play in the sand.

I also went and broke snow drifts and pulled several people out last week while it was "life threatening conditions" and my work grounded the fleet for two days. First time in 7 years that the company I work for has told us not to come in. I did the natural thing and picked up a coworker in the Raptor and went joyriding. Good times :)

Did manage to stick it about 100 yards in to a 200 yard long snow drift that was a little over 4' deep all the way across. I pull-started a semi on Monday. Took the truck to feed cattle in one of my dad's pastures that he couldn't get to in his 2wd feed truck. It's been a good 10 days :)

I get asked how it rides, if I take it off-road and if I've jumped it by lots and lots of people; however, the question I get asked most often is "man, if I didn't have kids I'd have something like that. What was that thing, like 60 thousand?"

Watching the Raptor Expedition video's pretty much led me to buy a Raptor instead of building my 05 FX4 into a prerunner. So, I knew this thing was going to be offroad before bought it. After 2 weeks of ownership I took it wheeling in the snow, month later it was at Pismo, 2 weeks later it was back wheeling in the snow, and I have at least 3 more trips planned by end of summer. Honestly, it's a bad *** truck but unless I was going to use it for how it was built I would have built up my 05 or got an fx4 ecoboost.

When I get asked those questions the answer is usually "I didn't buy it to look at it". It seems to confuse people more often then not though. That being said I take mine out as much as I can, but being in Indiana there isn't a whole lot of desert haha. Closest thing I have is a cornfield after fall harvest. I rallycross it more than anything.
