My ‘11 is about to hit 150K, is my DD and hope to never own another pickup. I’m with @Sozzy12. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure this beast never dies and can always be driven. Maybe a lofty goal, but it’s been a dream to own this pickup since I first spotted one in 2010 so whatever it takes to keep the dream alive, that’s what I’ll do.

My wife has a 2012 Whippled Screw bought brand new at Gaudin Ford Las Vegas. At 100k we purchased a new crate motor from Ford, rebuilt icon shocks, replaced tranny, drivetrain, transfer case, differential, controller arms and rack & pinion. All but the motor/shocks were done under my ESP Ford Warranty (so $100 deductible for all those) so all in about $11k out of pocket for motor/shock rebuilds which is completely worth it.

Now at 118k and it's running absolutely perfect after about 6 months of replacing/updating items and I expect to get another 100k out of it. Just getting ready to go through interior to fix squeaks and rattles with cleaning & adding dynamat type of material.

Just to point out... this truck would have gone a lot further without those replacements but it spent a good 25% of it's life in HARD offroading and never left us stranded. Jumping/slamming into 12" whoops at 80mph+ over and over for a good 2-3 years. It's die hard... and still get's plenty of comments on the daily. Now with wider flares, 37's, updated headlight, tailights, wheels it just looks like it's getting newer every year.

My 2013 in the terrain color, or sand like, and has 26,000 miles on it. I removed the graphics, and rhino lineed the bumprers. very plain and clean. I love the 6.2 engine sound. I also love the eco boost in my other f150, but the 6.2 has a special place in my heart. No plans to get gen 2 at this point, but if I get an itch, I always seem to scratch.

Okay, so your trucks will last 4ever. I do see many very old Ford pickups on road.

Engine aside for a minute, what about undercarriage rust? Body panel rust? Any?

Final question for now: we can dream can’t we? For 2021 Ford comes to its senses and goes back to a V8 in Raptor. Then you’ll get rid of it? Be honest now.

I’m kinda sad I sold my Gen 1, 2014 with 45K miles but I’m pretty happy with my Gen 2. Had more issues with my Gen 1 in the first 10K miles and overall than I’ve had with my Gen 2 (none) and hopefully it stays that way. Just hit 10K on it yesterday.

2012 6.2 with 126,018 miles and still going STRONG! it has it's issues, cricks and cracks when doing certain things and leaks (sometimes) but outside of normal maintenance and care it's been a great truck and I have no intention of getting rid of it. Trans still shifts very smoothly and still very fun to DD. In colder weather temperatures (HOUSTON, lol) the electronics act a little buggy but no reason to trader her in. After having it for 7 years and being paid off for 2 full years and still worth 25K I'm starting to see a big return. Dealership calls me every couple of months to come in and they'd "give me top dollar" for trade in .. the answer is always the same. NO!
