How is Ford going to deliver on the Gen 3 Raptor with this chip shortage?

So you would be mad if I told you I voted for Biden I am guessing?
A typical liberal assumption.

no, I’m not mad at anyone for voting for whom ever they see fit. There are over a million men dead throughout the history of our country to give people the right to make awful decisions, some of whom I know personally.

anger is not my emotion. It’s pity really.

I'm pushing to get one this year. I would like to take advantage of the tax deduction for my construction company.
Question because I am doing the same.

does GVRW over 6k AND 6ft bed matter for this deduction? On-line info is half what i mentioned above and half…… you can depreciate anything.

Check with your accountant, but I believe any vehicle over the 6000 GVRW can be 100% depreciated. I don't think Bed size matters as my account has deducted SUVs for me.

Who the hell wants a 21 Raptor when the 22 is out next month????
Accordingly to my dealer, Ford is supposed to have a short run of MY21's before MY22 production. But I sure hope he's wrong and you're right, as I'm on his first allocation.

I am also #1, but every day I inch closer to giving it up. The coup de grace would be unchanged power figures. If what I’ve heard is true and the HP is the same, I will give up that slot 100% and just wait. Although a ‘21 that’s not faster than a ‘20 for and extra 12K plus ADM is something I am fortunate enough to afford, I just can’t allow myself to get so thoroughly ******, so I won’t do it.

Different sanario for me, I'm truckless. So don't have the option of waiting on 2022. I would of bought a 2020 Raptor, but when I started shopping most dealer inventory was extremely low and their ADM was extremely high.
My current dealer won't be charging me ADM. Plus I'm not sure the HP will be changing from MT21 to MY22. The Raptor R will be nice, but don't think I need all that power.
I guess if I currently owned a Raptor, I would have to think long and hard about trading it in.

For someone who’s truckless and wanted a Raptor for a while. Jumping on a Gen 3 ASAP and not getting ADM bent over is a good plan. If your in that Gen 2, then you can think it over a bit and see how much that Gen 3 is worth it. Sure big resale value in the Gen 2 right now, but. There is a lot of nice upgrades to the Gen 3 I think. The only upgrade possibly lacking could be a boost in 3.5 power. While the 3.5 is a great motor, we expect vehicles to have upgrades all around in a new MY however.

I was at my local dealer yesterday. Typical midwest dealer that usually has maybe 30 F150's on the lot, they had none. I went in to speak to the sales manager about the status of my Bronco order and she said they are getting a trickle of F150s and they are sold as soon as they hit the lot. The other local dealer had maybe 5 and they are buying them from other dealers at MSRP and selling them at MSRP plus a $3500 mark up.

It is all because of the chip shortage and her factory rep showed her an aerial photo last week of lots at one of the pick up plants full of on hold F150s. SHe was told it will run thru most of the summer and when I asked her specifically about Raptors she was told that they willl make a small run with the plan of all dealers getting one. She said that was even optimistic and was told she likely wouldn't get any ordered trucks until 2022.
