I have a good contact at a Ford dealership and I asked if he could update me when he gets any & all info about the 2017 Raptor. He said yes. He's a really good guy and I totally trust him. He's not one to make up shit just to get a sale. I will update this thread asap when I receive updates. So below is the 1st update:

Good morning,

New update from Ford off of fmcdealer.com I will send over the product info they mention when I get it.

• Timing: available in Q4 2016 as a 2017 MY
• Initial Product information: will be posted on eSourceBook by 2/3
• Customer Communication Plan: Ford will send product updates to customers to keep owner base (and prospects) engaged. Dealers can send customers to link the link below to enroll for email updates. Ford
• Ford is not developing a waiting list for the 17MY Raptor. Dealerships can develop a plan to prioritize current owners to prevent them from purchasing from a competitor. Dealers are recommended to communicate directly to customers.

I wouldnt take a call from my "dealer" if they paid me. I signed up for the updates. Hopefully I get some good information. I clicked the mail option so maybe I'll get a brochure or something

Looking forward to info as we move forward. I signed up for the 2017 Raptor on the Ford site almost as soon as they announced it! We'll see when the first info comes from Ford that way.

Yep, signed up for updates. The wait is long, but at least we get time to troll Ford to come out with a TT/SC V8

I figure around 2019 the Raptor will have any major kinks worked out and it will be a great addition to my 2013. I've already made the decision that I will never get rid of my 2013.

Maybe down the road it will become a more extreme off-road toy. Maybe it will just be kept as is and the 2019/20 model I buy will be the fun one... I have time to figure that out :)

When you say major kinks are you referring to IWE, powersteering, ect.?

Our 2013s still has kinks. Lots of folks are complaining about the lack of a V8 but I worry and hope Ford puts a proper 4-wheel drive system and power steering rack in the Raptor.
