lol, I drive enthusiastically all day every day, so I get 12.8mpg, well, that's what the readout says, I think I get more around 13.5-14.5, the readout is including a few miles at the drag strip that I think have skewed the readings, and doing 85 on the freeway pretty much at all times doesn't help either, I think my mileage is slightly better, like .5-1mpg better, in manual than in drive when I'm not driving enthusiastically

I get 11.5-11.9mpg in automatic. 4.5-6.5mpg in manual shift. 12.4mpg if I am cruising down the highway. You don't step on it hard enough.

I have bad road rage.

Yesterday on my way to state finals for track a lady (texting) cut me off! I hate distracted driving! She made me drop my razor into my morning coffee and it spilled all over my daily newspaper! Ughh... distracted drivers

From my experience, the readout is pretty optimistic on your MPG. mine always reads about 14.5 but my actual MPG calculated by hand is always in the 13.2-13.9 range.

I always get over 500 miles to a full tank, which equals out to about 13.9mpg, so I think mine is a little pessimistic

I've got two driving modes; wife in car and wife out of car. I drive like a damn hooligan in the second mode.

Wish I had the manual shift option for more than 1-3 though.

I'll typically put 350 miles a week on the Raptor just between work and home, not to mention soccer practice/games/grocery/carting the kid around.....you get it. Been pretty much leaving it in drive but after reading Bird's writeup and road test a couple of weeks back on drive vs. manual shift, I noticed myself that a lot of the streets and backroads around here cause a lot of down and upshifting from 5th to 6th. Thought I'd give the manual mode a try on those particular times where I notice the shifting in auto the most. Last full tank averaged 15.9 and the current average on this tank is 15.4 with about 1/3 tank left.......must be something to it. My average is 14.4 year to date and that's on regular pump gas with no mods to the engine/exhaust. Guess my worst mileage is when the hemi's want a piece, which is pretty much a weekly event around here.
