How do remove/replace the glove box arm?

So, when I replaced my cabin air air filter I got a little excited when I was pushing on the two side latches and applied too much pressure on the box. The actuator arms pulled out of the head that is inside the dash.
I have the new part.
Does anyone know how to remove the large head end of the arm.
Is it just pushed and turned into place?
