New to the group. 2018 S-Crew. Love the truck, but can't figure out how to lock my dog in the truck without his motion setting off the alarm. Don't worry, I'm not going to let him burn up in there. However, there are a few times, like when I need to take a quick leak at the gas station, where I would like to lock him in with the windows cracked.

You can leave it running and take the fob with you and lock the truck with the fob
as you walk away.

Only annoying thing is it honks twice when you close the door to remind you the truck is running.

Switching to perimeter sensing is probably the most correct answer. If I'm just running in to a store for a couple minutes I usually get out, lock it, then remote start it. When remote started the internal sensors are disabled. Also with the truck running the odds are lower that some vegan will smash your window, thinking your dog is going to die in minutes on a 60 degree day.

@NV Paul put it right. If you don’t want to leave the truck running you can change the security to perimeter only.

If you look at the overhead lining near the lights you will see a couple indentions that almost look like pocket lights, but they are actually interior movement sensors. There are a few others as well, but your dogs motion is triggering the motion sensor and hence the alarm.

Question, on the Gen 1s, you can hit the remote start on the key fob while the truck is running and then remove the key, lock the doors.
Now I know the Gen 2s you don't use the key, just wondering what happens if you hit remote start while it's running.

Certainly wouldn't want to leave a key fob in the truck, that would give a thief unlimited mileage.
