I carry the pooch in the bed of the truck and he's loving life out there...in California though so it doesn't get too cold out back for the old guy!

Hit the remote start on the key while the key is in the ignition, then remove, and it'll stay running like remote start?Question, on the Gen 1s, you can hit the remote start on the key fob while the truck is running and then remove the key, lock the doors.
Now I know the Gen 2s you don't use the key, just wondering what happens if you hit remote start while it's running.
Certainly wouldn't want to leave a key fob in the truck, that would give a thief unlimited mileage.
I always leave the extra fob in the truck and that seems to work.
