I carry the pooch in the bed of the truck and he's loving life out there...in California though so it doesn't get too cold out back for the old guy!

Press 7 and 9 simultaneously with key in cab and truck running. Unlock with the full code.

Question, on the Gen 1s, you can hit the remote start on the key fob while the truck is running and then remove the key, lock the doors.
Now I know the Gen 2s you don't use the key, just wondering what happens if you hit remote start while it's running.

Certainly wouldn't want to leave a key fob in the truck, that would give a thief unlimited mileage.
Wait. You can do what? Nearly eight years I've had this truck... you can do that? Hit the remote start on the key while the key is in the ignition, then remove, and it'll stay running like remote start?

I always leave the extra fob in the truck and that seems to work.

DO NOT do this.
The ’15+ F150 is exceedingly easy to break into via the door handles, less than 10 seconds with a pro. If you leave a key in the truck with it running, a thief can simply drive off.

We had a user have his truck stolen literally on the way home from purchasing it by inadvertently leaving one of the smart keys in the truck and this happened. Don’t let this happen with a live animal or a human in the truck.

LOL, yup.
You can either hit the door lock toggle switch before closing the door or hit lock on the fob while walking away.

Any idea why my truck 2013 SCREW alarm goes off for no reason when I lock it an leave it? Happens at my house, when camping, etc. Drives me crazy to not be able to lock it up without the alarm sounding with nothing near the truck to set it off. Anyone else had this issue?
