Instead of PPF on the flares, wouldn't you rather go some type of line-x on them? They would never fade or need any tough up and then could withstand going through some narrow bushes?

Add me to the list. Just got sent these from my guy. Hopefully the dealership will either replace under warranty or just paint match for me for cheap‍♂️

Yeah, me too... wasn't as bad as some of these photos, and, only on one of the four. Detailer said he sees this far more often on Chevy and Dodge trucks, not Ford! Definitely lack of QC on these. Probably just live with it for now.

Figure a new vehicle has roughly 30k parts. It makes you wonder about the parts in a vehicle that you can't see.

Exact same thing happened to me Monday on 1 of my flares. I used blue painters tape and the tape was on the flare for maybe 1-1/2 to 2 hours tops (not in direct sunlight). I‘m waiting on my dealer to tell me whether or not they will color match my flares or do a warranty replacement (I had a few other little things in this negotiation).

I’m noticing paint wear on the edges around the fenders near the front / next to the hood. Have the truck covered in PPF but wondering if this is a paint defect as to why the paint is rising / chipping. Has anyone else had this issue?

I'm wondering if simply PPF'ing them would fix all of this. my front two are in great shape and just got PPF'd a few weeks ago. my driver rear has started to peel a tad

Ppf does solve the issue, however make sure you go to a trusted ppf dealer / installer as it can be a challenge to put it on without pulling paint off. People who have previously done raptors are aware of this. Also- always put stealth ppf on the fenders.

Yeah my fronts were just done with the full front package I just got. Can’t even tell there’s PPF. Xpel stealth is what they used
