Off the top of my arse: oil pump grenading, serpentine belt popping off and driveshaft twisting into a pretzel
Oil pump still intact, serpentine belt has never popped off, The drive shaft is custom 5'"..... now I did have a problem there. I cant say it was the fault of the Supercharger. more of a right foot problem. You must be one of them Ford performance hating, us SVT guys. Probably not "off the top of" more....... "out of"!!!. Trust me, Your reaction score says all I need to know about you.

Why did it end if they sold so well?

Ford still sells a S/C V8 off road truck. Why does Ram no longer sell them?
From what I gathered, Stellantis was paying the EPA a ton of money for every hellcat engine vehicle they made due to emissions. It was no longer feasible. The rumor also was the former ceo was hell bent on getting rid of the hemi. What’s true in that vs not we can only speculate. Now that Tim is at the helm, the hemi is coming back and Im hopeful the hellcat will too. That engine saved a dying brand for sure

I will say they got greedy at the end with their continued price increases. That certainly didn’t help the ending

Stellantis failed in the continued development of the Hemi whereas Ford and Chevy/GM were smart enough to spend the money in making their V8s more powerful, more efficient.
