here, on frf
I can't comment on the offroad performance as I mentioned but Ram most certainly did not fall. The TRX sold like crazy and did so until the end. They may have failed in the desert but I think you're missing my point and going back and forth with a brand loyalist is hardly worth its time.
shit. brand loyal? my truck is a ford. our grocery getter is a subaru, my drift and rally cars were mitsubishi, subaru, and nissan, my motorcycle is a suzuki, and my atv is a yamaha. i get what i like most. just happens ford fits my driving style for a truck.

Yet he keeps responding...
Up until that point, it was worth engaging with. I am very realistic about Rams shortcomings and yet I still bought them. I am just not one to defend Ram or any brand for that matter just because its my preference. They all have their issues, especially these overpriced new ones. Wayyyy too many failures for the price tag. Thats why Im going backwards in years. Ford definitely has their issues, as well as GM/Chevy. They're all on par with one another in my eyes and none of them are good. When someone can't admit that, engaging with them is just not worth it.

I wasn't referring to you, just the gentlemen I quoted. I try to quote people so my comment is directed at one rather than the whole

how were you able to "flip" during covid when prices went through the roof?
There were volume dealers like Mark Dodge, Koons, Dan Cummins etc who would sell forum members 4% under invoice on custom orders. I did that, drive it few months and then trade it in at over MSRP. Did that few times with TRXs and 2500s. They still offer discounts on custom order trucks
