hmmm, is that a black truck? so is the graphic just through to the black paint, or is it gloss black of the graphic itself? lol

the RAPTOR part is a cutout revealing the black paint beneath. everything else is printed on.

I have the hood graphic on my 2011. Its not hard to clean but it is vinyl. So I apply armor all and let it sit for 20 min. then wipe it off with a clean rag. This should prevent fading, and make it easier to clean the next time you wash it.

armorall is probably worse than not using anything on it.

303 or vinylex. Stay AWAY from armorall anything.

You can see in this photo that the RAPTOR part is NOT cut out to let the paint show through.

^ that was how I thought it was supposed to be.

I'm going to guess the black truck, the center just looked like black paint but it was just the gloss part of the decal. And if anybody saw it on another truck, I'm going to guess the dealer ordered a 2011 decal and applied it after delivery.

I really wanted the blue to show through, but I suppose it'll be a bit more durable without all those edges in the lettering cutout.

The 2011 hood graphic shows through RAPTOR in body color. For example, if the body is molten orange, that is what the RAPTOR appeared as. For reasons unknown, that was changed for the 2012 graphic. For 2012 the graphic is all black. IMO, the 2011 graphic looked better if the truck was anything other than black.
