I hope you got diminished value adjustment from your insurance company as well. Resale for this truck will be much less.

What's "diminished value adjustment?"

And I'm already dreading the day when it comes for me to sell her...luckily we got her at invoice. And wrecked vehicles are never the same after the fact. :rage:

More pics of the bumper's color and fitment (the color isn't as noticeable in these pics as it is in person; it's almost black. And every time I look at it and the gap, I get so annoyed):

And this last one is from the car-wash. I was in an automated one with the straight track...now you can really see how pronounced the wheel is...

Getting that wheel fixed won't be a big deal. Just needs someone experienced with alignments. I'd want a spec sheet too.

Go to this site and poke around---this is real and I would expect that your truck has lost about 5 to 6k or maybe a little more of it's value. It is real and do the research for yourself and do not listen to internet experts.

I understand your concern there are many people such as myself that would never consider a vehicle that had been in an accident. Different states have different requirements for collecting diminished value---in some states if you were responsible for the accident then you are SOL.

Carl, good to see you got her back! As far as the steering wheel, I wouldn't worry too much, like others have said that's a good alignment away from being perfect. I would want someone else to pay for it though. Also when my dad got his raptor I noticed that even on his brand new one the bumper alignment by the wheel well was just like your pic, he took it to the body shop at our dealer and they moved it a bit and got it to look better, so also I wouldn't worry about that to much either. BUt I DO think the paint color is OFF! If I where you I'd think about just buying a bumper off the forum, I think I have seen them for like $100 then you know it was painted from the factory and is the right color. Goood luck Dude.

I know it all can be made right, but I expected it to be correct the first time.

I loathe incompetency/meritocracy with a ******* passion.

Now I have to waste my time with the insurance company and Northern Motors Dealership to figure out who is going to pay for the repairs to make it right and then waste time taking my truck somewhere to make it right. It's bad enough they had it for almost 3 weeks.

It's the small details that make me wonder about what else they hid or cobbed together.

I've made a successful claim on this back in 2007, not exactly what I wanted but a few thousand. But it was because someone hit me. I didn't think you could do this when it was your fault, perhaps you can. But what would stop someone from wrecking their vehicle on purpose then trying to get extra spending cash by claiming diminished value?
