why not? doesnt that solve all the problems? deer runs in front of you, bumper protects your truck and cooks at the same time. deer can go right into the cooker and be done by the time you get home. and you dont even have to get out of your truck

Looks like a factory option.

I think there's a somewhat important piece missing between the bumper and the cooking surface ...

Raises a question. I had a 2000 Tundra with a good size bumper with bull bar with extension over the lights. Hit about a deer every 3-4 years (NW Montana....). That $1000 saved me many thousands in repairs. Finally rusted out and literally fell off so the last deer I hit cost 4 grand to fix.

When I looked into similar products for the Raptor, nothing looked very good. All those big expensive bumpers (ADD and the like) just would not give the protection needed so I decided to keep it stock and rely on insurance. Bound to happen cuz of where I drive for fly fishing. Anyone know of any bolt on’s that actually look OK on a Raptor?

This was why I started the "bully bar" thread . . . I want to limit the damage my girl takes. We have a ton of deer and antelope around here that don't understand traffic rules

Years ago my buddy hit an elk at 40 mph in his 2 week old Tacoma. They rebuilt the truck only because it's value was still so high and he had no issues. Hope all works out for you.

The reason I have a new Raptor is that i also hit a cow elk with my 2007 Tundra on Feb 15 at 9:30 pm this year and the damage was bad enough that USAA had to total the truck because Colorado has a law that if the damage is more than 70% of the value of the truck it has to be totaled! Was looking at Raptors anyway so it worked out. Truck was totaled, elk came through the windshield on the passenger side which broke her neck and then proceeded to wreck the whole side of the passenger side of the truck when she came out of the windshield.
Glad everyone was all right. I'm surprised that hitting 4500 moles didn't do more damage, that's a lot of moles in the road at one time!!

I ran over a couple deer when driving through Montana with my 2018 Crew with only 4500 or so miles. It must be a trend. The deer bent the bumper wings on both sides and caused a slight dent to the middle section of the bumper. I put a Fab Fours Vengeance with the pre-runner guards on after the deer hit. I figure there will be more deer hits and this is a much tougher bumper than stock.View media item 15271View media item 15270

No no, the moles were already on the truck. He hit the deer and that's what did the damage to the truck. But, now I'm wondering how many moles were injured in the incident!
