So OP, you averaged one dealer visit a month for the past year, I understand you put your truck through the ringer, but isn't that a bit excessive?

I've got an '18 on order and every reference I see on this forum to dealer visits, issues, and/or reliability has me a bit gun shy is all.

Typically each trip does a little damage that needs to be addressed.

But the vacuum lines were a big problem. That was 4 weeks of in n out of the shop. Each time they blew happen to be at the same mile maker in Baja about 600 miles south 3 months apart haha oddly enough.

First oil pan melted at 27k Second at 35k

Rear ambers constantly get water logged not sure how i don't run through car washes.

I changed the tranny fluid at 30k just because how hard it was driven

Rear diff started leaking at 25k - Seals replaced no issues since.

I believe the front wheel hubs were replaced at 15k ill have to double check that

Rear suspension replaced from fox - They took apart my old ones with 12k off-road miles 30k total miles and were happy to see they were in great shape on the inside

Nah, 10 runs through the Baja, if you ask me, he's barely been to the dealer considering that use.

This guy is putting in the air n the blacktop....I can only imagine what he is doing in the dirt.

Wow....Awesome! I would love to go to baja in my truck.

What vacuum lines failed? Is there any fix to prevent it from happening?

Also, what suspension and engine mods do you have or recommend to prepare for a baja run in the G2?
I asked an instructor at Raptor Assault and he said that unlike the G1s the G2s are made to complete a baja type course in stock form, but then again he works for Ford and really can't say anything different from what Ford says.

I really gotta tone it down in the Dirt these tires at $500 a pop are becoming very expensive! Yeah You are right its been to the dealer a lot less i would of thought. Ill take some pictures of the under carriage today to show how this things been eaten alive haha

Now that im out of factory warranty im going to look into replacement tubes.

He is right- its night and day difference. You can definitely take the stock truck down. But that been said a few things to make your life easier...

Rear shocks need the upgraded replacements... My rears rebounded to slow where i was starting to slide out at 60-80 mph on dirt sometimes. I do carry a good amount of gear which may affect the suspension and that could of been why.

I put the new FOX 3.0 replacement set on... Im going any speed now with my gear and not sliding out.

Front Suspension is great no complaints but hey i wouldn't mind the replacements ...

Tune i have is 5star and boy the truck moves... I keep stock air filter... Those fuc*ers get dirty and its way easier to just drop in a new filter every time i need one then dealing with after makes cone etc.

I like the ADD bumper due to how thick and how far it sticks out. Its kept my ass alive when wild life jumps out in front of me. RPG makes some killer bumpers too

Can you elaborate? I understand the Gen2 oil pan is plastic but did they melt when you were in Baja? What in the hell does one do when the pan melts while you are driving?

It melted in August... That trip took a toll on the whip... Was so F..ing hot out brakes were pretty much useless had to pump them 10x. Shock oil was so hot you would bottom out over a pebble. Then when i got home oil was everywhere. Turns out the oil pan warped from heat. It was all deformed.

I believe, after reading all your posts that Ford should pay you for such an extensive test drive. You have put this truck through more shit than them.

The people at ford are pretty smart... They see they are already getting all this for free!! ha! But I would be happy with a PEMEX GAS CARD ford....
