I have a 2018 and it was my first install prior to the cold air intake, truck had about 500 miles on it. It was totally worth it, it smoothed out the turbo lag and hit, noticeable power increase and better throttle response. The CAI had a slight notice, but the SPDs were easily noticed.
I had a shop do mine, as it wasn't worth my time to do it and crack knuckles (there are plenty of youtube install videos of wincing pain associated with these installs).
Anyone that knows turbo engines can tell you that big gains can be had from the turbos to the cats and in downtubes (even without tunes), this should be a given. The SPDs are slightly smaller than the Mountain Top and AMS, however when I compared them the SPD look quite a bit thicker, which should help for longevity from heat distortion.

Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for the install? The Turbo Exhaust Adapters aren’t very expensive ($125-190 depending on which brand you get). For that price, even a small gain would be worth that little of a cost to me. But if it costs a ton to get em installed, that might give me pause.

Did you have a Ford Dealership do it, or perhaps a muffler shop? Not sure who to go to. Thanks.

I got quoted 5-9hrs depending on the shops I asked.

I decided f it, grabbed a friend, YouTube and some drinks. Took us 2.5hrs in front of his garage.

Isn’t this it? Yeah, I was thinking maybe a $150...not $4200, haha. I little to rich for me and I definitely don’t have the skill set to put those puppies in.

I know everyone seems to exaggerate power and torque gains (particularly the CAI’s), but it seems there’s better evidence and Dyno proven that these work and, for the cost, seems a reasonable risk. Just don’t know how much it’ll cost me to have someone put them in. Any guesses?
Is that just a compressor upgrade?

I have the SPD Turbo Adapters on my 2018. At the time, there was no clear dyno evidence showing their claim of 12-24 HP gains. I am not sure if that has changed, but I have not seen anything myself. I did mine along with a FlowMaster FlowFX muffler replacement for sound reasons only.

I paid $200 to have them installed. Depending on the age of your truck, the exhaust bolts are extremely difficult to remove, so the job is best left to a professional.

By far, the best bang for your HP buck is an MPT 93 PRX tune.

The High Flow Turbo Exhaust adapters Mods are larger internal diameter Exhaust outlet adapters. The chief benefit of this mod is a significant improvement in exhaust flow, which should in turn lead to an upgrade in horsepower and torque. They are also designed to reduce turbo lag and lower gas exhaust temperature levels. They claim 20-24 hp gains (can’t remember the torque gains).

Sorry should have been clearer in my question. I was referring to the link for turbo upgrade, not the adapters.
