Welcome from Central Illinois. Good luck, hope you get your Raptor soon. Prices are climbing from what I have seen. There are quite a few new ones on lots around central and southern parts of the state. Haven't seen any silver, did see one terrain close to Carbondale. There was a relatively low mileage siver screw in Wisconsin at a Carfax lot. Don't forget to post pictures when you get it.

Will do!

Worse case, if I get tired of silver, I can always wrap it!

I had the opposite reaction. Silver seemed kind of plain on the first one I saw, but it had no side graphics and the regular wheels. But I took my wife out for ice cream (great ice cream, but 50 miles away) because there was a Ford dealer near there took in a silver one with the side graphics and wheels, it really changed my mind. I'd also prefer silver/terrain due to being pretty lazy and not washing my cars enough... takes too much time, I'd rather be driving them!

Here's the one I've been eyeballing...

2013 Ford F150 SVT Raptor, $51,993 - Cars.com

Got a buddy who owns a used car dealership that thinks he can get them down to $50k, maybe a little lower. So we'll see in the next few months! They've had it in inventory for 9 months now, so I'm sure they're ready to move.

The F250 was a cold December morning on my way to work. Hit the on-ramp and could see traffic coming so I goosed it (still had the boost up) and the grade changes on a slight left to right sweep before entering the highway. I was probably up to 75-80 and the rear end came out. Tried to drive through it, but I finally entered the highway, taking up both lanes completely sideways and the truck was hopping. I had two choices, keep going and end up in the center ditch and risk continuing momentum and going into the on-coming lane or jack it back and end up in the shoulder ditch. I opted for the shoulder and ultimately resided like that. Funny how it all happened in slow motion and I pressed myself into the back of my seat and walked away without a cut or bruise.

I'm a Terrain fan, but not too many low mileage used ones out there cheaper than new. Found a nice silver one with side graphics and beadlock capable wheels which pull it together. My wife also likes silver, "so our cars match." :roflbow:

I've already got a few things in mind: black cap mirror reflector delete (thanks to the $100 mod thread), JLT oil separator (my drive to work is 1.5 miles), and a tonneau cover. Later mods include: LineX wheel arches/front grille, likely an ADD or SVC front bumper, and train horns (mostly for the awesomeness, but also nice to have an on-board compressor).

EDIT

and lots of lights!!

When you buy the truck, go with a Kleinn Air Horn! Just installed it with an on-board compressor as well, it's absolutely awesome! And loud as hell!

Can't wait to see what Raptor you pick up!

Well... in preparation, I have started to buy some things out of the $100 or less thread (keep it off the wife radar) and then slowly stockpile away some more cash for the SVC bump stop kit.
