Bought my 2012, love it but did not get my front camera. Called Ford, they could not provide me with a way to order it. The dealer did not know how to order it, very frustrated. I did not have to order the new front end, got it. so whats up with the front camera. Heavily advertised, as is the front end, can anybody help. Corporate Ford says, not available with my package. I have everything you can order, maxed out. so what's up. Please advise if you can. Love my truck, not fond of Ford's reply. Advertising something that you have no option to order during the "build" [process)

It happened on my 2010 too. No rear camera when it showed up.

That's terrible. Ford should do something about it, but they most likely won't since they put their money before customers. Only thing you can do now is complain to the dealership. Sorry

You can double-check the validity of Ford's response by mining its own web site for evidence that their response to you is in error. Look at what comes with each option and compare with the options that you paid for on your truck. If you find that their response to you is different from what they advertise, a return letter is in order to document that as a consumer you had every reason to expect to get a truck with a front camera and demand satisfaction.

That said, it occurs to me that it would probably be pretty expensive for Ford to retrofit your truck with a front camera after it's built. It may also be true that it would represent a difficult challenge for the average Ford dealership service department to do, and they might booger it up. So another option might be to ask for a monetary refund on the purchase price of the truck if indeed you can prove that it should have come with a front camera.

Wait, I'm confused. Did you order it or buy it off the lot. If you ordered it, you have a build sheet, if you bought it off the lot, you have the window sticker. I'm staring at my window sticker right now, the last item on the "INCLUDED ON THIS VEHICLE" section is "FRONT & REAR CAMERA SYSTEM 525.00"
Do you have this? It was also on my build sheet when I ordered.

I ordered it. There is no option for it during the build process. I will look over the window sticker again, but fairly sure its not there. Ford said I received what I ordered. My point is I did not have to order the highly advertised new front end and I got that, so where is my camera. The front end is not an option when building your vehicle. At this point is would be impossible to have it installed, being told it must be done at the factory. Bottom line, advertising something that is not available during build n buy, they tell me its my fault. Uggg

I have tried to find the option for it on Ford's web site, when you build your own. If somebody can find it let me know, but I told Ford, its just not there and they could/would not tell me how to order it other than it was my responsibility to pay special attention when ordering with the sales person. Go fish ;)

It was not there when I ordered mine, too. When I was doing the contract with the dealer I mentioned it and he had to tell me about it and how much.
